Laura lives in Annapolis, MD where she enjoys paddling with her dogs and training with her racing team, Capital SUP. She competed as an NCAA distance runner and triathlete and continues to live actively by teaching spin and boot camp classes, and training special needs athletes through a variety of cross training. Laura balances these activities with her full time career as a middle school educator and Track & Field coach. She's passionate about I DO SUP's socially responsible mission and is dedicated to teaching students how to protect their environment with a focus on the Chesapeake Bay watershed and their ecological footprint. One day she hopes to start a paddleboarding team at her school to spread her love of the sport.
From her achievement as a National Sailing Champion and now as a competitive stand up paddler, it's clear that Josette has a love for all things water. She is passionately devoted to rescuing and nurturing dogs, and is often found using her paddling expertise to help with their rehabilitation. Josette also participates in many SUP charity events, fundraising for a number of notable causes. We are proud to be represented by her as part of the I DO SUP team.
Jack Ballard is a high school junior, where he is an Honors student in the STEM program. He is a varsity runner for the cross country and track teams, but his favorite running race is the Across the Bay 10k where he gets to run across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. He works part time at Capital SUP in Annapolis, MD as a paddle ambassador and he is also an active member of their race training team. Jack is gaining experience and exposure at paddle board races throughout the mid-Atlantic where he is a frequent top finisher. When he's not doing homework, running, or paddling, he enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, and just being outside. Because of this love for the outdoors, he's proud to be a part of the IDOSUP team.
